Photoshoots Can Be Done Any Time of the Year

Unlike Japan, where Shichi-Go-San is traditionally in autumn,
in Los Angeles, many families choose a date that:

• works with school schedules
• matches visiting relatives’ travel dates
• fits with siblings’ ages

Kachou-kimono is now in its 9th year of kimono rental and Shichi-Go-San support in Los Angeles.

I offer full support:

• Kimono rental for children & parents
• Hair styling (children & mothers)
• Dressing (kitsuke)
• On-site assistance during photoshoots

I work gently and patiently so your child feels comfortable and can enjoy the day.

Locations

I provide both indoor studio sessions and outdoor photo sessions.
Outdoor locations allow for natural expressions and relaxed movement, which many families love.

I will help you choose a location based on your preference and outfit.

What to Prepare for Your Child

• Comfy shoes for walking (Crocs, sneakers) — we switch to zori only for photos
• A favorite stuffed toy or small item — these make memories extra sweet
• Small snacks for breaks
  (Avoid blue lollipops & chocolate → they color the mouth.
  Gummy snacks are perfect.)
